In the spirit of shared responsibility, UNH Facilities is offering a seminar on the UNH Dig Safe Program. This course is for anyone at UNH that might need to dig for an archaeological survey, staking down a tent for an event, constructing a new building on campus, or anything in between. This course will help you understand our damage prevention process, the importance of compliance, safe work practices, and a complete overview of the UNH Dig Safe process. Participants will review the steps to take in order to be in compliance with the UNH Dig Safe program. Topics covered include:
• Planning ahead
• Pre-marking
• UNH Dig Safe forms
• Wait period
• Maintaining the site
• Excavating
• Renewals
• What to do in case of damage
• Notification if you find utilities
